Winni Skin Co was born from one of the most profound periods of my life. Losing our mum Winnie left me searching for direction — and in that grief, I did what felt natural: I sold my business and travelled. The travel was planned. The skincare was not. It was never a business idea — it was a distraction, a curiosity, something to pour myself into during one of the hardest times of my life.

What I didn't expect was where that curiosity would lead me.

During that time, I found myself spending a lot of time in airports, surrounded by luxury skincare counters. What really struck me wasn't just the products — it was the price tags. Tiny jars costing hundreds of dollars.

So I did what curiosity pushed me to do — I started researching the ingredients.

What I discovered surprised me. Many products relied on a handful of powerful, science-backed actives, yet the cost often reflected branding more than formulation. That moment became my turning point.
